In the theme of starting "Official" threads that I'm one of only a few who will be allowed to post in, I'd like to start a thread for teams who have scored 1000 points through the first 9 weeks.

The Jackals of Horus are currently at 1014 with Ahman Green, Randy McMichael and Ryan Longwell yet to play tonight.

Sadly though, our high scoring ways have not led us to a perfect record, through 9 games the Jackals are 6-3, and in a tie for first place in our division.

How are the other 1000 point teams doing?

Barring a 40 point Ray Lucas outburst,  Apep's Fang will be 6-3 with 1041 total points.
I am in a division/wild card spot battle.

I have a sad score of 79.76 this week.  At this point I have a 37 pt lead over my opponet.  He has Favre and R. Williams tonight and I have no one.  IF I hold on I'll be 7-2 with a toatl of 1019 points.
The hard part is I have R. Williams in my biggest $$ league so I need him to do well enough to help me win (I'm up by 4 points in that match up) but not well enought to hep my opponet in this league win.  I REALLY need Favre to lay a goose egg tonight (yeah right).  FF could save my emotional stability this week after watching the Raiders lose their 4th straight yesterday.  AAAARRRRRGGGGG!!!!!!!

I know what you mean Blackhole, after seeing my Bills pummelled at the hands of the Pats yesterday, and watching the throngs of Patriots fans celebrate from both endzones as the Bills faithful had already left the building was a bit disheartening.  I've never quite seen something like that.  When the final gun sounded Bills fans were outnumbered by Pats fans by at least 5-1, and probably 4 times that in the endzone sections where they were most prominent.  It was a bad day, only slightly redeemed by the Jackals win this week.

The Set league's Babylonia Babymen are in.

We've scored 1036.31, with Randy McMichael going tonight.

Unfortunately, also at 6-3, but how can I complain?

I wonder what our common team themes are?

My starting roster:

Manning
Holmes
Garner
Keyshawn
Moulds
Troy Brown
McMichael
Vanderjagt
Chicago Bears

THE GREAT SPHINX of ANUBIS had their first bad outing of the season this week after averaging 110.79 ppg. over the first eight games.  I've got only 59.03 points so far...for a current total of 945.38.

I have Ricky Williams, Donald Driver and Randy McMichael going tonight, so I expect to make up the 13.61 points I currently trail the SUN BOAT WARRIORS pretty easily.  But am I a little too presumptuous to think I can make up the 54.62 points needed to reach the 1000 mark?

Either way, sometime later this evening I think I'm going to start my own thread for those teams in the pyramid with only ONE loss after nine weeks.  Now there's an exclusive club...

Good idea Spike

McNabb
Ahman Green
Tiki
Horn
Jimmy Smith
T. Taylor/Q. Morgan/T. Pinkston
McMichael/Heap
Longwell
San Diego

The key to my early season was McNabb and the SD defense.  Now I'm rounding out into a fairly balanced team, with good scoring across the board.

Had to wait until the Packers finished to post here, but the Green Bay D solidly put me into the club, helping me complete the 2 week sweep of the other 2 Division leaders, and a 7-2 record.

And I am still nervous as hell about the playoffs with the Star Division from Hell, with the Fang a hair behing me in record.

As for the Starters:

McNabb [Stud]
Faulk/Henry [2 Studs]
Driver/Boston/Mason [VERY hit or miss]
C Lewis/Ricks [TEs Bleech]
Vanderjagt
Green Bay D [My secret weapon]

Oh, and Black Hole....

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.  ;D  ;D  ;D

Well, I pulled out the victory in this league, putting me at 7-2.  My starters have a mix of what mos tof you have posted.  I am surprised I am the only one posting here with TBay's D though.

QB..Gannon (Brees back-up)
RB..LT2, Dillon then crap (Shipp, J. Allen, and others that have come and gone on the roster)
WR...Tim Brown, Conway, Keyshawn, Plaxico, and the rest
TE....Ricks (why did I drop Heap, why did I drop Heap...oh yeah that offense looked like such a disaster I gave up on ANYONE from that team doing ANYTHING after week 2...doh)
K...SeaBass
D...TBAY/Oakland

992.2  >:(

If I hadn't been out of town a couple weeks ago and grabbed a kicker for mine who was on bye I would be in there as well.

Oh well, at 6-3 I can't complain too much.

Right now I am being carried by my WR core of Owens/Moulds/Glenn.  Of course my RBs (McCallister/Henry) aren't hurting either.

As the only member of Anubis over 1000 points, I would like to introduce my unlucky 5, 4 squad.  As such, I am looking at taking the wildcard being 3 games behind in my division.

Arctic Freeze
Total Points: 1003.24
Record: 5, 4

Rich Gannon

Michael Bennett
Deuce McAllister

Randy Moss
Peerless Price
Ed McCaffrey

Tony Gonzalez

Sebastian Janikowski

Steelers

I am only thankful that I will make the playoffs and can look forward to playing the best of the best next year.

By the way, some of you must not have read the title of this topic...  1000+ points!!!  Not ALMOST 1000 points!!!  Get Out!
Team: Arctic Freeze
2007 Expert - ISIS
2006 Master - HORUS, (5-9), 1464.64
2005 Grandmaster - AMEN-RA, (8-6), 1139.98
2004 Master - ANUBIS, (6-8), 1607.27
2003 Grandmaster - AMEN-RA, (5-9), 1325.36
2002 Master - ANUBIS
2001 Expert - SET - League Champion

Wha' happen'd?

I will not lose the wildcard.  My point total will beat every team that doesn't win a division.  You can beat me if you want in the regular season...  I'm looking toward bigger fish.

Hmm, the Arctic Freeze are back to .500 now, and in a jumble of teams in the hunt for the final playoff spot.  Are you still so confident?

I'll admit, it would very much suck if you missed the playoffs and still had the total points title.
