First of all, you are doing an outstanding job.  You're W/L record is very indiciative of your strength, and I'm relatively glad I get to face the weenies in Buto instead of you.  But let's call a spade a spade, shall we?

1)  Wells has scored 28 total points in 6 weeks.  (Already had the bye week)

2)  You're never started Wells, except for the week Corey Dillon was idle.  (I'll concede you will likely start him when Tomlinson is idle)

3)  In fact, in week 4 you opted for Lamont Jordan instead of Wells.  

4)  Who was drafted after Wells?  Aside from some guy named Drew Bledsoe, the five RBs drafted were:

Jamel White (70 points, 20th overall RB)
James Allen (42 points, 38th overall RB.  And if you recall, my argument was against rookies on expansion teams)
Amos Zereoue (32 points)
Stacey Mack (36 points)
Lamar Smith (95 points, 11th overall RB)

So, is Wells worth an 8th round pick?  It's a judgement call.  I wouldn't, you would.  Some of it might be homer related, and I can respect that.  But let's not try to make it sound like he's an impact on your record or strength.  The strength of your team lies in your earlier round picks: Tomlinson, Brooks, Booker, and Conway.

I agree, Wells isn't exactly setting the world on fire. However, my initial premise was-and is- that after week 5 he would be a top 25-30 runningback. If both your starting backs have their bye after week 5, that he would get the starting job in Houston, and be worthy of emergency start. I drafted him as my fourth runningback. As a third to fourth running back, he should be adequate.
Now, he was adequate against the Bills and brutal against the Browns. He may keep the starting job, and he may not. I think that he will outproduce Allen the rest of the way. If Bettis bounces back I would prefer him to Zeroue. Would I rather have Jamel White right now-sure. Anyone else on that list of running backs-not particularly.
I agree the the strength of my draft was my earlier picks which allowed me gamble on a later pick without feeling its ramifications if it went sour. That was my point to begin with. If an eigth round pick breaks you- you already had a problem.

I noticed that right after you cheered him on earlier.  Wasn't exactly sure why, until I saw your lineup.  But don't be whining about they bye weeks.  I beat Smoo last week with one of my starting WRs and starting RBs idle.
